1. About PlumbNow
PlumbNow is an online marketplace that connects customers experiencing plumbing emergencies with independent, verified plumbing professionals. We do not provide plumbing services ourselves — we are a technology platform that facilitates introductions between customers and tradespeople.
2. Eligibility
By using PlumbNow you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into binding contracts. Business customers confirm they are authorised to act on behalf of their organisation.
3. Customer Terms
Posting a job
You must provide accurate information about the job, including a truthful description of the problem and your location. Deliberately misleading job postings may result in account suspension.
Payment
You pay the plumber directly for work completed. PlumbNow is not a party to the contract between you and the plumber and is not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of any work carried out.
Reviews
Reviews must be based on genuine experiences. Fake, misleading, or malicious reviews are prohibited and will be removed.
4. Plumber Terms
Verification
You must provide accurate information about your qualifications, insurance, and identity. PlumbNow reserves the right to verify any information you provide and to suspend or remove accounts where information is found to be false or out of date.
Credits and claiming jobs
Credits are purchased in advance and used to unlock customer contact details. Credits are non-refundable once a job has been claimed and customer details accessed, except at PlumbNow's sole discretion in cases of documented customer cancellation.
Professional conduct
You must only claim jobs you genuinely intend to attend, maintain valid public liability insurance at all times, comply with all relevant regulations including Gas Safe registration where applicable, and treat customers with professionalism and respect.
5. Prohibited Conduct
- Attempting to circumvent PlumbNow's platform by transacting directly to avoid platform fees
- Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users
- Creating fake accounts or reviews
- Using automated means to scrape or interact with the platform
- Uploading false or misleading documents
6. Liability
PlumbNow's liability to you is limited to the amount you paid PlumbNow directly in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
7. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
